Awens to All:

On the Saturday of the Renfrew Ravine Moon Festival it was Drenching Downpour Rain so I Chickened Out and did not go.

Then at 5:00pm, the Weather Cleared showing that I should have gone as the Weather Cleared at just the right moment to be able to enjoy the Festival. So due to my own Selfish Aims of Not Getting Drenched Wet from the Rain, I ended up missing that Festival.

But I am going to the Earth Rivers Day Celebration at the Burnaby City Hall which will do to make up for that.

I have been gathering in the Harvests and my Crop of Jerusalem Artichoke is being gathered in and it is a Great Crop:

And here is the Picture of the Last Jerusalem Artichoke Daisy Flower that is Blooming on my Allotment:

Then I was able to scrounge up a Last 9 Jerusalem Artichoke Daisies that I can put into Pressing and Preserving:

I always consider it an Indication that Autumnal Equinox is coming is when the Trees start to Change Color.

Today, I took a couple of Pictures of the Local Trees that have started to Change Color.

Here is a Japanese Maple Bush Changing Color for Autumn:

And here is some Branches of an Oak Tree whose Branches are Changing Color:

This indicates that it is Time to start figuring out what you are going to do to Celebrate Autumnal Equinox.

Here is the Pictures & Video of the Renfrew Ravine Moon Festival which is held at this Time of Year so it is the way I always have Celebrated Autumnal Equinox.

When I got there, they had some Minstrels Performing and here is some Ukranian Gypsie Dancing & Singers that I saw:

After that, I had a quick Hike around and found this New Totem Pole that had not been there in 2013 when I had been to the Festival before:

And here is some Salmon Themed Park Benchs that I found in the German Themed Community Park:

I went back and enjoyed more Music when the Procession Started with some Brass Band and a Dancing Bone Fish which I recorded on Video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m47_s6oAzQY

And then the Procession headed off with the Moon in the background:

And again in the German Park, the Bone Fish Dancer Entertained the Crowd:

And here is something that reminded me of the Commemorative Lanterns floated in Hiroshima & Nagasaki for the Victims of the A-Bomb:

I then got on to Renfrew Revine Park and enjoyed some Jass Music and then some Modern Dancers, but things were Late and I had to get back to wake up early.  So I ended up missing their Fire Works Display which I heard as I made my way back to the Skytrain Station.

I am already looking forward to their 14th Annual Moon Festival.

Awens to All:

This Wednesday is Autumnal Equinox and it is time to start Celebrating it.

One of the First Things you do to Celebrate Autumnal Equinox is to bring in the Harvest.

Here is my Allotment after my Jerusalem Artichoke and Corn have been Harvested:

And here is my Crop of Jerusalem Artichoke which I Donated to the BVS Buddhist Temple:

On Wednesday itself, I am not sure what I am going to do after Work to Celebrate it.

What does others have Planned to Celebrate Autumnal Equinox?

Actually, it was not until this year that I found out that the Japanese have a Autumnal Equinox Celebration that they call 'Shunbun no Hi'.

Re: Autumnal Equinox Celebrations

Looks as though there is going to be No Rain for the next couple of Weeks.

So if there is No Rain, then the Camp Fire Bans will stay in effect so I won't be able to have a Camp Fire during my Weekend Camping Trip.

Drag!
