Awens to All:

As a part of my Beltane Celebrations, I participated in a Byrne Creek Clean Out on May 2nd.

Here is the Sign directing People to where the Clean Out was occuring:

And here is our Base Tent and Dumpster:

I went to a Certain Spot I know of and Cleaned Up the Area that has a lot of Garbage laying around. It is a Spot used by Homeless People, so it has a lot of fairly Disgusting Garbage.

After the Clean Out, I went and had a few Hot Dogs at the Local Church and then went Home.

Awens to All:

After Work on May 1st Beltane, I decided there was no better thing to do on a Beltane Evening than Planting Corn Seeds in my Buddhist Temple Garden Allotment.

Here is my Garden Bed just after I planted about 90 Corn Seeds:

And here is my Little Corn Seed Sign I put up at the Garden Bed:

You can see a couple of Sunchokes in the background that are Growing in another 1/3 Part of my Allotment.

After that, I kept it quiet by getting a 6 Pack of Beer, Pork Chop and Potato Salad and had a Quiet Beltane Balcony BarBQ before turning in early.

Today, my Beltane Celebrations continue by Volunteering doing a Byrne Creek Cleanout Work.

No Better Way to Start the Celebrations of Beltane is to go to an Earth Fest and I went to the Wild Life Rescue Association's Earth Fest today.

Here is my Streamkeepers's Info Booth:

And here is the Climbing Wall:

I got to look over Exhibits in Bee Keeping, Recycling and Nature Conservation. They had a Food Truck that Sold a few nice Treats and I had something they called "Chicken Cacciatori Poutine. I expected it to be something made with French Fried Potatoes but it was made with Broad Sized Noodles. But it was Good anyways.

I also helped handing out Information about the Byrne Creek Streamkeepers and then headed off to get my Legion's Lawn Mowing done.

A Great Way to Start Celebrating Beltane!

Something occurred to me today and I did some checking.

The State of Florida is Spanish for Flowers which is a Word that most likely comes from the Roman Goddess of Flower's Name.

Here is further information on where the State of Florida got its name from:

http://www.statesymbolsusa.org/Florida/FloridaNameOrigin.html

Originally, the State was called Pascua Florida by explorer Ponce de Leon on Easter in 1513. Translation: means "Flowery Easter" or "Flowering Easter"

So that is further Evidence showing that it would be appropriate to have a Floralia Festival at this time of year in order to Celebrate Beltane.

It is now time to start planning on what to do for Celebrating Beltane and I happened upon this Deity:

Flora's festival, the Floralia, was held between April 28 and May 3 and symbolized the renewal of the cycle of life, drinking, and flowers.

So that is something that one can do to Celebrate Beltane is have a Floralia Festival.

Awens to All:

So here is how my Beltane Camping Trip went.

I got up early and fed TWS and went on my way to Work and did my Work and I was allowed to leave early to enjoy my Camping Trip.

I went directly to my Special Spot and Set Up Camp:

I then proceeded to have an early Dinner of Chilli Con Carne mixed with Three Chopped Up Wieners and with a Sprinkle of Corn Chips over top it all.

With that quick Meal, I immediately went off to Sleep.

The next Morning, I got up, did a Tarot Card Reading and then proceeded to Cut a lot of Wood for the Fire.

Then at about 9:30am, the Rain started to Fall and here is the Fire Pit that I Built for the Ceremonial Burning at about 10:00am:

Then the Weather got Rainy and Stormy and a couple of times I have to Repair the Tent from Wind Damage whilst I did my doing my Sleep-A-Thon as there seemed nothing better to do whilst the Rain was on.

When I got up, the area where I had Built my original Fire Stone Ring was completely submerged in Water, so I had to move the Stones inland:

So that is where I ended up lighting the Beltane Fire on Saturday Night when the Rain almost totally stopped by 8:00pm:

And there is the YouTube of the Fire Starting:

Later on, after I had gotten a lot of Coals together, just as the Night Fell, I got this Video of the Camp Fire Burning:

I then went to Sleep and the Weather seemed to Co-operate as I have No More Rain and No More Wind for the rest of the Night and then I had a Great Morning of Hash Browned Potatoes with Browned Beef and a Dab of BarBQ Sauce along with a Bison Steak.

I then proceeded to Pack Up Camp and head back into Civilization.
